Census Day is on Sunday, 21 March 2021 and everyone is required by law to take part.
This year, for the first time, it will be possible to complete the census online. Each household will receive a letter containing your census code which will allow you to complete the census forms.
For people who do not have access to the internet, it is possible to request a paper copy to complete instead from the freephone Census Helpline 0800 141 2021 (8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday). More information is available from www.census.gov.uk (opens in new tab)
