Harbury – Samois Twinning Association

Every other year we make a four-day trip to Samois-sur-Seine, usually around the May bank holiday. The alternating year we host the French here in Harbury for four days.

Samois is a charming small town on the banks of the Seine, not far south of Paris. The French can always be relied on to organise a weekend of family friendly events. Boat-trips on the Seine, visits to Paris and nearby châteaux, wine tastings, walks and cycling in Fontainebleau forest, evening meals of traditional French regional food, music and dance.

It is not essential to be able to speak French. And if you are unable to host a French family in Harbury you can still join and come to France as there may be others willing to host for you.

Throughout the year we aim to have one Harbury event per month, usually with a French ‘flavour’, from a Christmas party to a summer barbecue and petanque, quiz nights, jazz evenings, pub skittles, film evenings, Safari Supper, etc.

Join Harbury/Samois-sur-Seine Twinning Association for a wide range of fun and sociable activities – something for all ages: families, couples, individuals, all welcome.
